A fine object of devotion, this imposing processional cross was once raised by a rod.
It comes from the collection of the Hôtel Dieu de Lyon, the first hospital in Lyon, founded in the 12th century.
The three ends of the cross are decorated with scrolls. At the foot of the cross is the Virgin Mary, arms folded.
