Brass chapel bell from the late 19th century marked BURNICHON FONDEUR A MONTFERRAND.
two pastilles representing Christ on the cross and a virgin and child decorate the skirt.
We find traces of two Burnichon foundries that produced bells between 1845 and 1890: one in Coutouvre (Loire) and the other in Montferrand (Puy-de-Dôme).
The oldest is that of Coutouvre, where two and probably three Burnichon brothers worked, one of whom Hippolyte left to create that of Montferrand.
