Religious painting composed of figures in carved ox bone, representing the Stations of the Cross with attributes of the Passion (Arma Christi): at the top, Jesus carries the cross on his back, framed by 2 praying cherubs; below the Three Marys look at him; at the bottom various figures from the Crucifixion (soldiers with ladder...), pontoon work from the beginning of the 19th century.
This set is in good condition and is of remarkable quality. Some characters in the lower part hold spears made of spun glass from Nevers (perhaps added). It is a later reassembly on a wooden panel covered with velvet and embroidery elements (was originally intended to serve as a background for a crucifix).
Note: glued head for a character (see red arrow), some wear and tear, take a good look at the detailed photos.
