Lunula box in finely chiseled silver vermeil, decorated with a stylized cross on the lid, hallmarked Minerva (1st title) and goldsmith's hallmark Poussielgue-Rusand*, with its lunula, from the 19th century.
This box is in good general condition as is its lunula. Hallmarked see photos, no hallmark on the lunula but has been tested.

PPR hallmark with a heart, star, anchor and cross. Parisian goldsmith known above all for his liturgical objects: chalices, ciboria, patens, monstrances. He is also the author of the main altar of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Paris and the crown of light of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. He also worked for the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Amiens where he notably created the superb bronze altar of the Sacré-Cœur chapel, as well as the reliquary of the head of Saint John the Baptist. During his lifetime he received the title of “Manufacturer of the Holy Father the Pope”. He trained Émile Evellin, a Breton goldsmith.
