Here is a 17th century crucifix, it is hand-carved with great finesse. The frame is from the 18th century in carved wood enhanced with stucco decorated with flowers with a pretty gilding leaf.
The whole remains in a suitable condition, note broken fingers on the left hand of Christ, a damaged finger on the right foot, a crack on the left foot, rust on the tips.
We note that the velvet is stained, damaged and worn. Traces of woven fabric visible on the back, damaged paper to hide the back. The hanging ring is rusty and the wood is dirty in places.
We strive to detail the slightest imperfection, but this is an object from the Haute Epoque period, so it can be considered to be in appreciable condition.
Our photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object.
For the condition, please detail the photos.
