Jardiniere bowl in Baccarat crystal, cobalt blue crystal overlay.

Our cut belongs to the very superior category of productions from the Baccarat crystal factory, listed in certain catalogues from the beginning of the last century.

The very complex decor and the perfection of its execution allow us to measure the technical supremacy of Baccarat. The planter is made of so-called overlay crystal, the surface being covered with a thin layer of cobalt blue crystal which once cut reveals the white layer through transparency.

An old piece dating from before 1936, it does not bear the signature of the crystal factory, but it is represented in the catalog.

Beautiful collector's item in very good condition: clear crystal, no white veil, no shine, some traces of friction underneath.
