Elegant rosewood and violet wood veneer planter.
The top, called cap, inlaid with diamonds forming a succession of perfectly proportioned cubes, is provided with two scalloped bronze buttons. The gradient surround is adorned with an openwork bronze gallery. The lid removed reveals a zinc tray forming a planter.
The movement belt, curved on all sides, is also bulbous on the sides. We find the same marquetry of cubes, framed by small chiseled brass rods, also present on all the edges of the furniture.
This set rests on four curved legs, rectangular in section, tapering downwards. They are veneered in grain wood on the front and back faces, and in friezes on the sides. They are also embellished with a bronze floral design.
The lower part has a shelf of the same shape and spirit as the rest of the piece of furniture.
This planter is a perfect decorative element, which can be brightened up with your favorite plants. Another asset, its cap is original: this accessory is frequently absent on similar models.
