Charming polychrome barbotine set comprising a large central jardinière and two matching planters, made by the famous faïencerie d'Onnaing, active in the late 19th century.
Each piece is richly decorated in relief with blooming roses, foliage, gilded scrolls and female masks, in a delicately nuanced palette of celadon green, powder pink, midnight blue and golden ochre.
The curved shapes, openwork handles and naturalistic motifs are fully in keeping with the Art Nouveau style, driven by the vogue for floral arts at the end of the 19th century.
