Precious pair of miniature or photo frames in gilded bronze.

Oval in view, decorated with knots and laurel leaves, they rest on molded ivory bases decorated with a row of gilded bronze pearls. Old work in Louis XVI style (mercury gilding) from the mid-19th century.

Beautiful object of great luxury, one would think at first glance that the bases are in white marble. The use of ivory demonstrates extreme refinement. (early 19th century ivory, well before 1947 and not subject to the Washington Convention). Ideal for presenting photos of a couple in an office setting for example.

The whole is in very good condition.
