Charming Walnut veneer travel writing case, embellished on its top with concave brass corners and a recessed plate bearing the initials "G.E.C". The lock in working condition with its key, both original, has an entrance of the same cut as the cover plate. Brass reinforcements at the corners highlight the lower part. In the open and service position, this writing case displays a sloping top covered with dark green leather sublimated with a gilded vignette, a cold vignette and corners: its surround is also in Walnut. The upper part of this interior is composed of pigeonholes, with a curved and removable part in the center for storing pencils. In the lower area, two locking systems allow to open the reserve located under the inclined plane. Note that a second identical cover is present in the upper part, these two compartments are made of mahogany veneer.
A collector's item and a decorative object, this travel writing case will delight lovers of historical items, we will enjoy imagining the correspondences of which it was the witness and the privileged accessory.
