Blackened wood writing desk inlaid with mother-of-pearl and brass fillets.
It opens with two flaps revealing a letter holder and an inkwell with two cups, tray lined with red velvet, bears a brass plate "Tahan in Paris", Napoleon III period, state of use and lack of veneer inside on the side jambs, small crack on the top (see photo).
