Very handsome mantel screen in molded and richly carved natural wood, the partially openwork frame decorated with shells, acanthus leaves, rocaille, volutes, reticulated motifs, etc., resting on two skate feet terminating in scrolls.
It is upholstered in a fine polychrome tapestry leaf, most probably from the Gobelins manufacture, decorated with bouquets of flowers in a vase on an entablature, surrounded by birds (wear).
