Tablet case from the 18th century.
Flat, rectangular in shape, it has a gold frame finely chiseled with arabesques and flowers.
It opens with a hinge and reveals its riveted tablets and its small pencil.
The upper panels are decorated with the words Souvenir d'Amitié on a red guilloche background.
The lower covers are decorated on both sides with seated and drinking cupids and cupids playing music while training a small white dog.
The medallions are executed in gouache.
The gold backgrounds are enhanced with garlands of green laurels and red flowers.
They are signed Perron.
