Large 18-strand folded fan. Lace leaf with twigs and flowers surrounding two painted labels with delicate bird and flower motifs. Engraved mother-of-pearl mount with gilding and silvering of flowers, twigs and insects.
Ivory arrows, metal clasp and passementerie pompom.
Very fine overall condition, with only minor wear to the muslin. A superb work worthy of the greatest fan makers.
