    This weathered, blackened wooden harness has a cut-out top made up of a groove and a scalloped molding. Below, a small, moving belt is made up of scrolls sculpted on a granite background. This ensemble is supported by a large sculpture depicting a double-tailed “mermaid” child. Chubby and chubby, he holds a bunch of grapes in his left hand and seems to hold them out towards his viewer.
    This harness rests on a large molded tripod foot carved with a large shell in the upper part, scrolls and flowers in the lower part.
