Magnificent antique vase in onyx and gilt bronze, richly decorated with multicolored cloisonné enamel in the Napoleon III style, characteristic of the late 19th century. The base, neck and handles are finely decorated with stylized floral motifs in enamel, in a palette of blue, red and white, evoking an oriental influence. The gilded bronze chimera handles add a touch of refinement and majesty.

Features :
- Height: 21 cm
- Material: natural onyx and gilded bronze
- Decoration: multicolored cloisonné enamel (typical Napoleon III technique)
- Handles: chimera-shaped gilded bronze
- Base: solid onyx, finished in gilded bronze

This type of onyx and gilt bronze vase was very popular during the Second Empire, inspired by Orientalist art and the rediscovery of cloisonné enamel techniques. Similar pieces are often associated with the Barbedienne or Ferdinand Levillain workshops, famous for their refined onyx and gilt bronze creations.

A superb example of Napoleon III period work, ideal for a collection or as a luxury decorative piece.
