Solid 18kt gold (Trois Ors) wax case, finely chased, decorated with floral garlands surrounding flower baskets and baluster vases, stylized vegetal friezes on the edges, Coq* title mark, late 18th-early 19th century. Weight 30.94 grams.
This case is in good condition, with superb quality chasing. It is hallmarked, see photos. *The hallmarks are a little worn: the title hallmark is most likely the "Coq à Droite" (cockerel on the right) hallmark, solid gold, 3rd grade, 750 thousandths, i.e. 18 carats, from 1798 to 1809 / Visage de face (1798-1809) + M Couronné.
Please note: very minor knocks, micro-scratches and slight wear, see photos.
