Louis XIV period walnut secret box. Second half of the 17th century. It is gouge-carved on four sides with diamond and rectangular motifs. The base and lid are molded. The interior features a niche and a small shutter compartment. The right-hand side of the box slides up to reveal two small secret drawers. When pulled out, they reveal a third drawer at the bottom.
