Large Camphorwood Marine Trunk with a single plank blond mahogany top, decorated with a brass plate and spandrel shaped reinforcements on each corner.
This authentic travel trunk has a single board solid camphor front and sides with dovetailed corners. These are held together by brass reinforcements.
The lid is opened by a recessed brass handle and this trunk has brass side handles for easy transport.
Inside, a brass compass called knee allows to maintain the lid. A box completes the right side of this large storage space.
This chest used in the 19th century to carry the personal effects of naval officers, will delight you with its warm color and timeless design.
