Beautiful solid mahogany coal reserve with a sloping front door. The door is carved with grooves and scrolls in motion. It opens with a chased bronze knob and swings up on brass hinges. Inside, a zinc tray is fitted with handles for removal.
This hinge features a magnificent chased-bronze carrying handle. At the rear, a large brass shovel with wooden handle is housed in a wide metal shoulder strap.
This authentic, traditional object can be diverted from its original function to become a decorative and functional element.
