The tools are made of mother-of-pearl and gold and rest on a removable tray covered with velvet.
The scissors have their branches in gold (stamped inside the rings). They are in very good condition. The blades have small oxidation points.
The thimble is also made of gold, stamped "boar's head". It is in perfect condition without holes or dents.
The bottle cap is also made of gold but it is a little dented. The inner cap of the bottle is stuck (rooster's head) and the bottle has a small tear at the neck.
The needle case is also made of solid gold, also stamped (rooster's head). It is in superb condition.
The box also contains a mother-of-pearl dressmaker's tape measure but it is in two pieces.
