Superb glove box from the Napoleon III period, in blackened pear wood, Amboyna burl and rosewood veneer, mother-of-pearl inlays, light wood and brass fillets.

The box, rectangular in shape with cut sides, rests on 4 ball feet in blackened wood

The interior is padded with blue silk, the upholstery is in good condition, with no stains or tears.

The lid, forming a projection in its center, is monogrammed with the initials of the sponsors in a brass cartridge.
