Perfume bottle “Soap bubbles” in cut crystal with silver and vermeil setting.
The body decorated with two large scrolls and scrolls where two cherubs extend their arms towards a third sitting on the cork, a straw in his mouth blowing a soap bubble made of a fine pearl.

Louis Philippe period Work by Morel and Duponchel cited by Henri Vever in his work “French jewelry in the 19th century” reproduces the design of this bottle (Volume 1 pg 279).
Charles Edmond Duponchel, architect of the Rothschild family, designed the hotel of Baroness James de Rothschild at 17 rue Lafitte, as well as part of the furniture on the ground floor. It was during a dinner with the Rothschilds in London, we are told, that stung by comments on the failure of French decorative arts that he immediately undertook to carry out a commission for goldsmithing.
He then asked the Odiot house to carry out this order based on drawings by the sculptor Jules Klagmann. The latter not being satisfactory, he then turned to one of the best workers of the time, Jean Valentin Morel.
The capital raised by Duponchel in 1842 allowed Morel to establish himself.
He obtained numerous prizes and royal and imperial orders.
In 1846 the association with Duponchel became effective.
Morel emigrated to London in 1848.
