Large jewelry box, casket, or chest in amaranth veneer, inlaid with brass and mother-of-pearl threads (Boulle marquetry), ingot mold, and silk-lined interior. The lid is adorned with a cartouche free of any monogram. A fine luxury piece from the 19th century (1850s), a testament to the refined lifestyle of high society at that time.

Our casket has been cleaned and the varnish repolished by our cabinetmaker. The entire casket is in very good condition.
