Necessary case in coral-colored lacquer.
It has a rich gold frame chased with foliage.
It is adorned on both sides with gouache miniatures depicting animated fishing scenes against a background of castles and churches.
It opens on a hinge with a small push-button, and the lid is decorated with the words "souvenir" and "d'amitié" in reserves surmounted by doves.
Inside are a pair of scissors in damascened steel, three bound tablets, a gold-tipped pencil, an earwig and a punch.
Very fine condition.
The paint colors are very fresh.
Tiny cracks due to age.
