Nineteenth-century sewing set (Charles X period) in an inlaid rosewood box with mother-of-pearl and brass inlays with flower motifs.
It contains two pairs of steel scissors, a needle pick to hang on a table, a silver thimble, a silver needle case, an embroidery punch with silver handle and mother-of-pearl bobbins.
The bottle, which is not the original one, has a small break that appears to have been glued back together (not very visible). The stopper is slightly dented.
The other tools are in relatively good condition. The thimble has no holes, is solid silver and is hallmarked "boar's head". The needle case and sewing tool handle are hallmarked "hare's head".
The box is in good condition, measuring:27.5 x 19 cm
