Round Baccarat crystal box, solid silver lid, circa 1900 - 1910.

Beautiful cut crystal model with cut sides, solid silver guilloché lid, a marquis crown without monogram in the center; the lid is carefully chased with a rocaille-style border, the interior and mount are in vermeil. High-quality production with a 41g lid (equivalent to the weight of a small timbale).

The lid bears the Minerve 1st title hallmark (silver alloy at 950/1000) and a goldsmith's hallmark. The frame also bears this hallmark and the boar hallmark.

A fine example of the everyday refinement of the aristocracy at the turn of the 20th century. Ideal for storing the everyday objects of a refined man: cufflinks, signet ring, watch and other small intimate objects.

The set is in very good condition, with no deformation. The lid was once entirely in vermeil, now very faded on the outside with a few traces in the hollow parts, and still very fresh on the inside.
