    Carved and gilded wood barometer signed Carcano, 1775.
    The barometer is carved with a rococo decoration. At the top, two doves embrace beneath a leafy roof from which hangs a garland of flowers.
    The painted dial is encircled by a series of pearls. The barometer is framed with acanthus scrolls and bellflowers culminating in a scallop shell.

    The thermometer is set in a pearl cartouche.
