South China or Vietnam, late 19th century, early 20th century, superb and important pair of ornamental panels, in carved, lacquered and gilded wood, decorated with dragons in relief placed perpendicular to their supports.
These unusual pieces demonstrate great mastery in their execution.
Overall height 112 cm. Width 23.3 cm.
Good condition, apart from two minor old restorations on the last relief point of the backs of the two dragons, which are barely visible and have no effect on the aesthetics.
