BONAMICI Mario, painter born in Paris in 1912, died in Lausanne in 2002. Born into a family of Italian painters whose parents arrived in France in 1910, Mario BONAMICI was introduced to drawing and painting at an early age. At the age of sixteen, he attended the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs and began his career as an illustrator at the renowned Jarach et Chambry studio. He frequented the worlds of fashion, theater and cinema. His brilliant pencil stroke was noticed, and he spent part of his professional life in France and Switzerland as a fashion designer, alongside his career as a painter. This beautiful work, an oil on panel from the 1990s, is titled "Rose de Venise". Artist's signature lower right.
Dimensions: Height 54 cm. Width 65 cm (67.5 cm X 78.5 cm with frame).
Good condition. Slight wear to the gilding of the frame, with no effect on aesthetics.
