- Cast-iron bust of the goddess Athena (Minerva), daughter of Zeus (Jupiter), goddess of wisdom, war, science and the arts. Her head is turned to the right, her wavy hair crowned with an elegantly decorated helmet and crest. She is wearing a cuirass revealing her feminine form, and adorned at its center with a figure of terror, that of the Gorgoneion, the head of the Gorgon Medusa.

- This sculpture is highly expressive, thanks to the finesse and realism with which the model's sculptor portrayed this bust. The treatment of the face follows the codes of classical Greek aesthetics: the face is smooth, the nose straight, the eyes not very deep-set, the mouth with its fleshy lower lip barely ajar. It exudes a warrior energy driven by determination, a representation faithful to the temperament of Athena who, according to the myth, is born with a bang, fully grown and fully armed, asserting her impetuous character from her very first cries.
