Kobako - Rare and beautiful Japanese boat-shaped model in gold lacquer from Japan. It is a junk, a traditional Japanese boat. This model opens with the roof forming a lid and the upper part of the boat in slight relief, opening onto the aventurine bottom. The boat is decorated in the traditional Mokume technique (aventurine with veined/fluted gold, imitating wood), while the roof imitates straw. Nashiji lacquer interior.
