Japan, first third of the 20th century, very fine inrô in red lacquered wood, superbly decorated with silver and mother-of-pearl inlay featuring flowers. The inrô was mainly used by high-ranking men to carry medicines, seals and other very small objects on their belts.
Master's two-character signature on one side. Very fine quality piece sold in its original box with stamped characters.
Dimensions of the inrô alone: height 6.7 cm. Width 4.1 cm. Total length 23 cm. The scale indicator on the last photograph is a small model of a well-known brand of lighter.
Good condition, apart from slight wear and scratches that do not affect the aesthetics.
