    China, second half of the 19th century, rare and very handsome embroidered silk ceremonial bonnet for young boys to protect them from evil spirits. At the back, a long neck guard with a red background is finely decorated with an embroidered lotus flower and buds. This unusual piece was intended to protect a young boy from a wealthy class.
    Good condition apart from a few snags and wear; nothing abnormal given its age and frequent use.
    Height (without ears) 35 cm. Width 32 cm. Total height with ears 41 cm.
