    China, early Ming dynasty, late 14th-early 15th century, very pretty and rare bronze statuette with dark patina, superbly sculpted with many details, representing the Bodhisattva of wisdom Manjusri, wearing a diadem, jewelry and formal attire, holding a book in his left hand, his right hand in an argumentative posture. Manjusri is seated on a raised lotus throne resting on the back of a stylized lion, which is standing on a rounded base.
    Good condition except for a small lack on the diadem, which does not affect the beautiful aesthetics of this superb piece.
    Height 16.2 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand.
