China, first third of the 20th century, superb lacquered wood and partially gilded court lady's toilet case. It opens on two front doors revealing two drawers. The removable upper part can be used to reveal a mirror or to enclose it under the lid for easy transport thanks to two small brass side handles. The lid hinges and small clasp are also in brass.
The whole is refined and of fine quality.
Good condition, apart from some light wear and minor lacquer chips that do not affect the aesthetics.
