    China, 17th century, Ming period, very attractive glazed terracotta statue of a dignitary standing on a hexagonal base. He wears traditional garments fastened with three large buttons, and his hands come together under wide sleeves. His posture is proud, his body upright, his gaze intense and determined as he gazes into the distance. Her forehead is encircled by a red headband and a braid rising from the nape of her neck.
    The whole is superb, reflecting centuries of ceramic culture influenced by the Tang and Han dynasties.
    Characteristic of this period, the head is removable, ending in a cone shape. This feature made it possible to interchange the faces on the figures' bodies.
    Good condition compared to its age, apart from slight wear, rubbing and a small loss on the back of the neck. Of course, this has no effect on the aesthetics. Beautiful polychromy still very much present.
