    Burma, mid-20th century, very attractive loom pulley carved from a single piece of wood depicting a Nat (or Nak). He is shown standing on top of the pulley, hands clasped. Nats or Naks have been deified princely figures in Burma for many centuries, in parallel with Buddhism. Their worship is practiced to obtain special protection. High quality workmanship, with beautiful details.
    Height 19.7 cm. The scale indicator on the last photograph is a small model of a well-known brand of lighter.
