Burma, 1930s/1950s, very interesting and unusual polychrome wooden statue decorated with beads representing an acrobat Nat (also called Nak). The Nats or Naks are princely figures deified in Burma for many centuries in parallel with Buddhism. Their cult is practiced with the aim of obtaining particular protections.
Good condition except for some gaps in the polychromy, without impact on the aesthetics.
Height 21.2 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone.
