Wooden sculpture called "Yipwon", presented and sold mounted on a base. The Yipwon is one of the most stylized and symbolic objects from the Sepik River region of Papua New Guinea. These sculptures are placed in the Haus Tambaran (house of men) and are closely linked to the warrior world. Its other name, wanleg (from the English "one leg") in pidgin English refers to all the figures in this style found in the Korewori river region. 97 x 5 x 15 cm / €540 including base and shipping.
