Particularly aesthetic painted double bark, collected in the Washkuk Mountains region of Papua New Guinea. These paintings on sago palm bark decorate the inside of roofs as well as the pediments of ceremonial houses, and represent the ancestors or beliefs of the clans, either abstractly or figuratively.
