    Crow Mocassins
USA – Northern Plains – Crow (Apsàalooke)
Circa 1890 – Former American collection
    24cm X 10cm

Rare pair of Crow mocassins with hard soles. It is a typical and traditional work and motif of the Crow. Some will say that the use of orange beads is late. We find this special "greazy orange" color on ancient Sioux objects, Crow, in the northern plains (Pieds-noirs, Assiniboine, Gros-Ventres, ...) and in the plateau region (Nez-Percé, Yakima, ... ).
