Authentic small old DOGON grain loft door composed of two wooden panels joined by metal fasteners. Each door has a meaning, the characters and patterns carved outside of their decorative value are intended to dissuade the intruder from entering the grain loft! The cones in relief symbolize the breasts of Nommo, the mythical ancestor, allegory of fertility. Dry patina, small repair, losses and desiccation cracks attesting to its use and its antiquity.
