    West Cameroon, Bamiléké people, first third of the 20th century, superb and important ancient zoomorphic mask featuring a stylized buffalo head with curved horns, engraved decoration and a beautifully worked jaw.
    This rare Babanki-Tungo mask is worn by members of the "Yam Fun" society.
    Dimensions: Total height with base 52.5 cm. Height of mask alone 47.5 cm. Length of mask 51.5 cm. The scale indicator on the last photograph is a small lighter of a well-known brand.
    Good condition, except for normal wear and tear.
