Statuette representing a two-headed character. We find the corpus of the Losso population: massive and cylindrical body, short and massive legs, compact and minimalist heads. This one is two-headed which makes it original. There are very few known examples. Often the artist preferred to represent a pair. The faces are fine and very expressive despite the schematization specific to the Losso. The female sex is present as well as a raised navel which is decorated with scarifications.
This statuette is very strong and shows us a very beautiful testimony to the art of this people.
Dense brown wood with a patina of use, erosion at the base and back, cracks.
