Lega katamba statuette
Katamba means "swallows". Anthropo-zoomorphic figurine, generally in wood, 20 to 30 cm tall; the arms are raised and the torso is generally perforated. It is found almost exclusively among the Western Waregas. It represents "a man with broad swallow-like wings, spread out in the shape of a crescent". It symbolizes an unstable, light-hearted man who is not very serious, and who does not work steadily and regularly. He is compared to a swallow that is always on the move, flying and circling, with a rapid but regular flight that seems aimless.
