Janiform Nkisi fetish with shiny patina

Middle of the 20th century
°°° Price can be reasonably negotiated °°°
The fetish represents two pairs of janiform faces in opposition resting on a large circular base, the upper part of the piece receiving the most imposing faces.
The latter, characteristic of Songye art, have large almond-shaped eyes crossed by a wide slit and framing a blunt nose. The mouth in high relief as well as the lower part of the face are treated in a cubist manner, the top of the skull symbolically marked with a horn.
The neck is adorned with a necklace of mutilated pearls, a magical charge swaddled in a cloth placed at the base of the piece.
Nice old shiny patina
