Facial mask featuring a delicate face. The fine mouth is projected forward. The nose, composed of a triangle in relief, is framed by two crescent-shaped eyes. The whole is surmounted by a rounded forehead marked by eyebrows in relief. In the center of the eyebrows, a vertical oval relief motif responds to the verticality of the nose.
This very harmonious and delicate mask was used in Ekpo society (based on ancestor worship) during the yam festival and funeral ceremonies.
    Wood with thick, glossy patina.
