    Dyptic sundial, in a Dieppe ivory case with engraved denticle decoration, inside a movable analemma compass and an equinoctial dial on a paper background bearing city names; on the movable door a lunar calendar; on the back a perpetual calendar engraved in Arabic numerals and signed "Jacques Senecal ADieppe fecit", mid-17th century.
    The dial is in good condition. Superb quality. Hook clasp. Signed Jacques Sénécal, active in Dieppe between 1660 and 1685.
    Cities indicated are : Aix-en-Provence, Angers, Bayonne, Bordeaux, Châlons-en-Champagne, Dijon, Grenoble, La Rochelle, Limoges, Lyon, Montpellier, Nantes, Poitiers, Paris, Rodez, Rouen, Toulouse, Troyes and Dieppe.
    Please note: missing compass needle, missing string connecting the two inner parts, yellowed and worn paper, small accident on one corner of the case, ivory a little yellowed, age-related wear, take a good look at the photos.
