    Portable equinoctial sundial of octagonal shape, in gilt brass with plate engraved with friezes, a compass, a folding gnomon and an hour circle that can be oriented according to the latitude indications engraved on the cursor.
    On the reverse, the compass bowl is marked with certain latitudes: "Elev Pol (for elevations at the poles) Lisbon 39 Rom 42 Vered 45 Wien Augsp Munchen 48 Regensp 49 London 52" and is signed with the initials "LTM" for Ludwig Theodatus Müller.
